A senior White House official has written a blistering anonymous op-ed for The NY Times, claiming to be part of the “resistance” within the administration attempting stop the detrimental actions of President Donald Trump.

“The root of the problem is the president’s amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making,” the official says. “Although he was elected as a Republican, the president shows little affinity for ideals long espoused by conservatives: free minds, free markets and free people. At best, he has invoked these ideals in scripted settings. At worst, he has attacked them outright.”

Now, there are plenty of theories about who wrote the piece and why, but there are mixed reactions over whether or not the anonymous source should be revealed.

In addition to the speculation regarding who this person might presumably be, many are questioning why someone who has such scathing emotions towards the administration still works there, and why they would not want to reveal themselves to add credibility to their claims.
