The White House on Thursday confirmed that former Fox News president Bill Shine is joining the team as deputy chief of staff for communications.

Shine worked under Fox News founder Roger Ailes for years and was one of the most well-known executives in cable news, as he also worked with and has a close relationship with Sean Hannity.

He left the network last year amid questions about his handling of sexual assault allegations at the network.

Shine himself was not accused of sexual misconduct.
