LaVar Ball, the outspoken basketball father of NBA rising star Lonzo Ball, had a pretty heavy message for NFL players who kneel for the anthem.
“It’s their league. If you don’t want to do it, get out their league,” Ball told TMZ Sports.
Ball said he believes the NFL has already gone too far in requiring players on the field to stand — but that the NFL has the right to make and implement their own policies.
“That’s why I got my own league,” Ball added. “Do what I want.”
So, as for what his policy on the national anthem will be in his own youth league he’s forming?
“I got some youngsters, man. They going to do the anthem. They not going to be kneeling and doing all that.”
