Michelle Obama spoke at Temple University on Wednesday and during her remarks to students, she declared herself as America’s “forever first lady.”
“We have such high hopes for you. See, I am not one of those doubters. I know that you have everything it takes to succeed,” Obama said in Philadelphia. “I know you are me, and if I can be standing here as your forever First Lady, then you can do anything you put your mind to.”
The address was during a College Signing Day event at the university.
Celebrities like Bradley Cooper and Questlove were also present at the event.
But the remarks caught the attention of conservative actor James Woods, who thought the comments were out of line.
With all due respect you aren’t our “forever First Lady.” No one is, nor should anyone be. Pump your brakes a tad. pic.twitter.com/PhCFe96bAI
