Roy Moore campaign spokeswoman Jane Porter appeared on CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday in a contentious segment that only fueled the controversy surrounding his campaign.
As Harlow welcomed Porter, the spokeswoman immediately invoked Harlow’s pregnancy in order set up a discussion on Democrat Doug Jones’ pro-choice stance.
“Congratulations on your unborn child,” said Porter. “That’s the reason why I came down as a volunteer to speak for Moore because he will stand for the rights of babies like yours in the womb where his opponent will support killing them until the moment of birth.”
The segment continued for 20 minutes, with the sexual harassment scandal being a main focus. And again, Porter brought up Harlow’s pregnancy, but Harlow shot back: “leave my child out of this.”
The Alabama special election between Moore (R) and Jones (D) for the Senate will take place on December 12th.
