Legendary broadcaster Al Michaels was in hot water Sunday night after making a Harvey Weinstein joke during the Giants—Broncos game.
The Giants have struggled this year and were 0-5 going into the contest.
“Let’s face it, the Giants are coming off a worse week than Harvey Weinstein,” Michaels quipped.
New York won the game 23-10, but Michaels grabbed headlines for the joke.

Nooooo no no, Al Michaels. No Harvey Weinstein references. Horrid. #SNF

Did Al Michaels just really say that?

Al Michaels: “The Giants had a worse week than Harvey Weinstein”
Must be funny UNLESS YOU HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN A VICTIM OF ASSAULT. @SNFonNBC

Later in the game, Michaels issued an apology, saying he was “a little flip about somebody obviously very much in the news all over the country. It was not meant in that manner. So, my apologies, and we’ll just leave it at that.”
