Howard Kurtz addresses Eric Bolling suspension

Howard Kurtz appeared to defend his Fox News colleague, Eric Bolling, on Sunday, regarding his suspension due to claims that he sent female colleagues lewd pictures, which was followed by allegations of professional misconduct by former contributor Caroline Heldman.

Kurst said his colleague’s suspension was based on “a dozen unnamed sources,” and that the situation allegedly occurred “several years ago.” He also commented, “none of the women described in the story as being upset have come forward,” citing Heldman’s interview where she said multiple other women were appalled at Bolling’s behavior.

Bolling tweeted Monday that he’s looking forward to clearing his name.

“Overwhelmed by all the support I have received. Thank you, I look forward to clearing my name asap,” Bolling posted.

But speculation that Bolling is on his way out at Fox heightened after The Fox News “Specialists” Twitter account changed to only list Kat Timpf and Eboni Williams as hosts.

Until very recently, Bolling’s name was included.

This week, guest hosts will fill in for Bolling on the show.

Citing 14 sources, Yashar Ali reported that the unsolicited photo of male genitalia was sent to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one at Fox News over the last several years.
